How can an RD calculator help you?

Calculating the maturity amount of an RD can be a complicated and time-consuming process. An online RD calculator enables you to figure it out instantly and accurately, saving you time and effort.

  • Eliminates manual calculation errors.
  • Lets you compare RD returns from different banks easily.
  • Helps you plan your savings and future goals better.

The formula to determine RD maturity amount

The RD calculator uses the following formula (monthly deposit, Indian standard):
M = P × n + P × n(n+1)/2 × r/1200

Where:
M = Maturity amount
P = Monthly deposit
n = Number of months
r = Annual interest rate (%)

Example: If you deposit ₹5,000 per month for 5 years at 7% interest:
n = 5 × 12 = 60
M = 5,000 × 60 + 5,000 × 60 × 61 / 2 × 7 / 1200
